“This series of slides shows key figures and events during the Paris Commune of 18 March - 28 May 1871. The Paris Commune was a revolutionary government which was initially elected as the city council ("commune"), but later declared itself to have authority to rule all France.”descrição da coleção
“in the Paris Commune, where the proletariat for the first time held political power for two whole months, this programme has in some details been antiquated. One thing especially was proved by the Commune, viz., that “the working class cannot simply lay hold of the ready-made state machinery, and wield it for its own purposes.””prefácio à edição alemã de 1872
“However, in the case of the fate of the state, that reluctance is partially mitigated by his view that the institutional arrangements of the Paris Commune prefigured the political dimensions of communist society.”seção 6.2, The Fate of the State in Communist Society
